Phillips Electrical & Refrigeration (Phillips Electrical, "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through www.phillipselectrical.com.au ("Site"), how we use and protect it, and the rights you have over it under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. What we collect

The Site doesn't have accounts or logins — there's nothing to sign up for. The only personal information we collect is what you choose to give us through our quote and contact forms:

• your name and phone number
• your email address, if you provide one
• your suburb or town
• the service you're enquiring about, and any details you share about the job

We don't collect payment details through the Site — payment is arranged directly with you once a job is confirmed.

2. How we use it

We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, arrange and carry out the job, and keep the records a licensed trade business needs to keep. We don't use it for email or SMS marketing, and we don't sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.

3. Cookies & local storage

We don't run analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on the Site. When you start filling in a quote form, the details are temporarily saved in your own browser's local storage purely so the form isn't lost if you navigate away — that data stays on your device, is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and isn't something we can access.

4. Third parties we use

A small number of trusted third parties help us run the Site and respond to enquiries:

• Formspree — delivers quote and contact form submissions to our email inbox. Formspree may process and briefly store submitted data on servers located outside Australia (including the United States).
• Vercel — hosts the Site and, like any web host, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and performance.
• Google Fonts — loads our typefaces from Google's servers, which may log your IP address when a page loads.

Each of these providers only sees the information necessary to perform its function, and we don't share your details with anyone beyond what's needed to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, carry out the work.

5. Data security & retention

We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure. We keep enquiry and job records for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purpose they were collected for, including any period required by law (for example, records relating to electrical safety certificates).

6. Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us using the details below. We'll respond within a reasonable time. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your information, you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

7. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults arranging trade services and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
